The Requirements
 
 

The client required a renewable energy solution capable of supplying solar-generated electricity to 15 independent apartments from a single communal rooftop solar installation. A traditional approach would have required each apartment to have its own inverter and dedicated cabling from the roof, increasing both installation costs and system complexity.

The objective was to design a more efficient solution that maximised the available roof space while allowing the electricity generated to be shared intelligently between all apartments, reducing infrastructure requirements without compromising performance.

Our Solution

 

Our team designed and installed a communal rooftop solar PV system consisting of 36 high-efficiency solar panelsconnected to a SolaX inverter and integrated with the Allume SolShare energy distribution system.

Rather than installing a separate inverter and dedicated solar array for each apartment, the SolShare system intelligently manages and distributes the available solar energy between all 15 apartments based on real-time electricity demand.

 

This innovative approach significantly reduces the amount of equipment and cabling required while allowing every apartment to benefit from renewable energy generated by a single centralised solar PV system.

Project Completion

The installation has now been successfully completed, with the communal solar PV system fully commissioned and operational.

The completed system enables renewable electricity generated by the 36-panel array to be intelligently shared between all 15 apartments without the need for individual rooftop systems, multiple inverters or separate cable runs to each property.

By using the Allume SolShare system, the client has achieved a cleaner, more efficient and cost-effective renewable energy solution that maximises the available roof space while reducing both installation complexity and long-term maintenance requirements.
