"The Breakdown"
For this project, we designed and installed a 12kW solar PV system, with 15kW of panels distributed across both the house and garage to maximise generation throughout the day.
All associated equipment was neatly installed within the garage, keeping the system organised, accessible, and completely unobtrusive to the home.
The system was designed to significantly reduce the customer’s energy costs, while also complementing their existing electric vehicle.
By generating clean energy on-site, the property now benefits from a more efficient, sustainable setup, making it a natural extension of their commitment to greener living.
The Challenge, The Idea, The End Result
The customer was facing rising electricity costs, alongside a practical challenge—there was no suitable space inside the house to install the required equipment.
Our solution was to utilise the garage, installing all system components there and connecting everything via underground ducting and carefully planned cable routing.
This allowed us to keep the installation both efficient and unobtrusive.
The end result is an exceptionally clean and well-organised setup, neatly contained within the garage. The system is completely out of the way, preserving valuable space in the home while still delivering strong performance and long-term energy savings.
Inverter and Equipment
For this installation, we used Solax inverters, chosen for their simplicity, reliability, and compact design—ideal for keeping everything neat and space-efficient within the customer’s garage.
The system also includes the option for EPS (Emergency Power Supply), allowing the customer to maintain power to selected circuits during a power cut. This provides an added layer of resilience, with backup power available directly from the garage setup when needed.
