"The Breakdown"
For this project, we designed and installed a tailored renewable energy system to support the farm’s day-to-day operations while reducing long-term energy costs.
The system includes 40kW of roof-mounted solar panels, generating clean, renewable electricity directly on-site. To maximise efficiency and energy independence, we also installed 70kW of battery storage, allowing excess energy to be stored and used when it’s needed most.
This setup not only helps the customer significantly lower their electricity bills, but also reduces their reliance on the grid.
By generating and storing their own power, the farm benefits from a more stable, sustainable, and resilient energy supply.
The Challenge, The Idea, The End Result
Faced with high and unpredictable energy costs, the customer needed a solution that would reduce their bills and protect them from ongoing price fluctuations.
Our approach was to install a fully integrated solar PV and battery system, allowing them to generate their own electricity during the day and store any unused energy for use at night.
The result is a high-quality, visually seamless installation that delivers real impact. The customer now benefits from dramatically lower running costs, and in many cases, virtually free electricity.
Whilst still connected to the grid, they are effectively independent from rising energy prices, with greater control, stability, and sustainability in their energy use.
Inverter and Equipment
For this installation, we opted to install our chosen product brand Solax, a reliable and highly flexible system that integrates seamlessly with existing renewable technologies. It also provides the option to operate off-grid during power cuts, ensuring continued energy supply when it’s needed most.
The equipment was installed in a purpose-built mezzanine storage area, designated area created by the client, keeping everything neatly contained and completely out of the way. This ensures the system has no impact on day-to-day operations, while still delivering powerful performance behind the scenes.
